GDPR Working Group: Building Blocks for Data Protection and Use Reform

The TUM Think Tank is launching a high-level working group bringing together experts from regulatory bodies, academia, industry, and civil society to advance the reform of the GDPR. The goal is to present four concrete and legally actionable reform proposals by December 2025 that will both make data protection more effective and facilitate responsible data use for business and society.

The TUM Think Tank has been supporting the Public Makers Initiative from its inception. As the first initiative in Germany dedicated to Public Entrepreneurship, Public Makers aims to inspire young people to engage with the public sector, foster cross-generational collaboration, and develop innovative, user-centered solutions to societal challenges.

EuroTeQ Collider

Mobility for Offliners shows how true innovation can grow from a local challenge. Starting from the question of how public transportation and ridesharing services can be made more accessible for citizens without smartphones—particularly older residents—the GovTech Initiative at the TUM Think Tank, together with the municipality of Eching, invited students to develop creative and practical solutions. The aim was to make mobility more barrier-free, reduce individual car traffic, and strengthen community spirit through shared mobility options.
