AI-Curriculum
The GenAI101 virtual learning series, hosted by the GovTech Campus Germany, offers a concise and practice-oriented introduction to the world of Generative Artificial Intelligence—specifically tailored to the needs of public administration.
Across four sequential online sessions, participants will explore the fundamentals, application possibilities, as well as the legal and ethical considerations of this technology. The aim is to enable public sector employees and other interested professionals to understand the potential of GenAI, assess it critically, and develop their first own use cases. Theory is only part of the journey: all participants gain access to an interactive AI platform where they can work with different language models, practice prompting techniques, and design their own AI assistant.
Each module focuses on a specific theme: the strategic use of GenAI in public administration (June 3), the basics of prompt engineering (June 10), the practical creation of an assistant for administrative tasks (June 24), and the legal and ethical framework (July 1). By combining knowledge transfer, hands-on exercises, and direct exchange, this learning format not only informs but also inspires practical implementation.
Developed in cooperation with the TUM Think Tank, the series brings together the expertise of leading partners from research, administration, and technology—including Aleph Alpha, the appliedAI Institute for Europe, the Data Lab of the Federal Foreign Office, Langdock, QuantCo, and the Technical University of Munich. This collaboration creates a space where innovation meets administrative practice, enabling the responsible and effective adoption of generative AI. Through this approach, GenAI101 helps prepare the public sector for a digital future and reimagine citizen-focused services.
