Ana-Maria Cupes
Ana-Maria Cupes is a Young Quantum Social Scientist (YQSS) for the Quantum Social Lab, working at the intersection of emerging technologies, science communication, and public discourse. Her work focuses on how disruptive technologies - particularly in the quantum domain - are communicated, understood, and governed across media, policy, and public narratives.
Alongside her academic work, Ana brings professional experience from the public relations industry, where she developed expertise in strategic communication and media engagement. This background informs her current research on discourse analysis surrounding emerging technologies, with a particular focus on how innovation narratives shape policy conversations and societal expectations.
Deeply committed to interdisciplinarity, Ana contributes to educational initiatives that bridge technical and societal perspectives on advanced technologies. She is currently developing modules for QuantWorld on Innovation Cycles and Introductory Particle Physics, aimed at making complex scientific concepts accessible to broader audiences.
