Chiara​ Ullstein​

Research Associate and Lab Member​

Chiara Ullstein is a Research Associate and Doctoral Candidate at the Chair of Cyber Trust. Her research investigates cross-national perceptions of AI, the insights they offer for AI governance, and the possibilities for public participation in the development and regulation of AI applications. Chiara applies both qualitative and quantitative research methods. In her teaching, she focuses on AI Governance, the EU AI Act and participatory AI. Chiara is a Friedrich Schiedel Fellow at the TUM Think Tank exploring how participatory AI can benefit operationalizing the EU AI Act requirements. Previously, she was a visiting researcher at The University of Tokyo and KEIO University in Japan.​
