Fabienne Marco
Fabienne Marco pursued her studies at the Technical University of Munich, earning degrees in Mathematics (B.Sc.), Mathematics in Data Science (M.Sc.), Political Science (B.Sc.), and Politics & Technology (M.Sc.). In November 2022, she co-founded the Quantum Social Lab at the TUM Think Tank alongside Prof. Dr. Urs Gasser and has been leading it ever since. Additionally, she heads the QuantWorld project, an advanced learning platform dedicated to exploring next-generation quantum technologies. From 2023 to 2024, she advised the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts on the Hightech Agenda Bayern as part of a specially established Think Tank.
Her research focuses on Quantum Governance and the broader opportunities and risks associated with second-generation quantum technologies. In particular, she examines how quantum computing and quantum algorithms can be leveraged for societal benefit while mitigating potential risks.
