Have you ever felt unexpectedly anxious or low before your period? You’re not alone-many people experience emotional and physical changes throughout their menstrual cycle, from mood swings and irritability to fatigue and sadness. While these shifts are common, they can sometimes disrupt daily life and well-being.

WELL ConnecTUM, supported by the Friedrich Schiedel Fellowship, is an interdisciplinary project dedicated to helping women and people who menstruate better understand and manage these emotional changes. We are developing a smart, science-based digital tool that translates the latest research from health, social, and technology sciences into practical, everyday support. By co-creating this tool with both experts and users, the project aims to deliver tailored strategies and reliable information that empower users to track, interpret, and respond to their emotional patterns-making emotional well-being more accessible and understandable for all.

Iris Schüller, originally trained as a physical education (PE) teacher, brings expertise in sport pedagogy, social competence promotion, and health education. Her academic work at the Technical University of Munich focuses on developing and implementing interventions that foster emotional and social well-being-providing a strong foundation for this innovative fellowship project.
