What happens when research meets practice? When academia doesn't stay in the ivory tower, but actively works on the challenges of our time? The TUM Think Tank Annual Report 2025 has answers.
As part of the Munich School of Politics and Public Policy (HfP) at the Technical University of Munich, the TUM Think Tank brings together actors from politics, public administration, business, and civil society — to update the social, political, and technological operating systems of our democracy.
2025 was a year of impact: with 11 active labs, 16 Friedrich Schiedel Fellows, 100+ events, and more than 1,250 participants, we created spaces for shared learning, experimentation, and co-creation. New labs — including the Creativity Lab, the Democratic Innovations Lab, and the Youth & Media Lab — expand our ecosystem for society-centred innovation.
