Jawid Baktash

Jawid Ahmad Baktash is a computer scientist specializing in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and formal methods in distributed systems. His research at the Technical University of Munich focuses on the impact of e-government systems on transparency and corruption.
He previously served as Associate Professor of Software Engineering at Kabul University, where he contributed to curriculum development and digital transformation in higher education. He also held senior policy roles, including Academic and Technical Advisor to the Ministry of Higher Education and Director General for Research, Innovation, and Science at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of Afghanistan.
He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of the Ryukyus (Japan), an M.Sc. from South Asian University (India), and a B.Sc. from Kabul University.
