TUM Think Tank
Where today's societal challenges meet tomorrow's technological excellence.
The pilot workshop of the Psychology Impact Assessment for Interactional Systems (PSAIS) project, hosted by the TUM IEAI, funded under the Friedrich Schiedel Fellowship and led by Auxane Boch and her team, achieved its initial milestone! This first session was dedicated to developing a framework for understanding the psychological impacts of interactional technologies in a given cultural contexts. In this pilot, the team tested their methodologies with five experts from 3 European countries. By employing a participatory method, the workshop facilitated discussions among experts from various institutions who explored the potential psychological impacts of interactive and interactional technologies.
Following the successful pilot workshop, the need for additional data collection has become evident to refine our understanding of the psychological impacts of interactional systems. Future workshops will include a wider array of participants to validate and expand our initial findings. Simultaneously, a global consultation phase will engage experts from diverse cultural backgrounds to ensure our framework is comprehensive and culturally sensitive, enhancing the assessment of psychological impacts on a global scale.
