Spyros ist Associate Professor am Department of Politics and International Relations der University of Oxford. Seine Forschung untersucht öffentliche Meinung, politisches Verhalten, soziale Einstellungen und Parteiwettbewerb. Er leitet das Oxford Q-Step Centre, die Oxford Spring School in Advanced Methods sowie das MPhil-Programm in Comparative Government.

    Global Survey shows Rejection of Unrestricted Freedom of Expression

    Most people support restricting harmful content on social media, even in countries leaning toward unrestricted free speech. However, many believe online intolerance and hatred are unavoidable. A global survey by the Content Moderation Lab at the TUM Think Tank and the University of Oxford reveals varying attitudes across ten countries.

Gemeinsames Vorgehen gegen toxische Online-Kommunikation

Vertreter*innen aus Wissenschaft, Zivilgesellschaft, öffentlichem Sektor und Industrie kommen zusammen: Die dritte Ausgabe des Workshops „Förderung konstruktiver Dialoge“ widmet sich der Bekämpfung von Hassrede sowie Miss- und Desinformation im Internet. Im Rahmen einer zweitägigen Veranstaltung werden wir Strategien, Taktiken und Werkzeuge erkunden, mit denen demokratische Gesellschaften toxischer Online-Kommunikation begegnen und diese wirksam eindämmen können.
